There will be two presentations this month.
Corey Belanger, the State Law Enforcement Bureau Outreach Manager for the Department of Transitional Assistance, will speak briefly about the resources available to LE regarding those persons receiving state assistance and where the department is with any changes or over-hauls.
In addition, Fitchburg analyst Kristi Fritscher, will demonstrate how to make shapefiles in ArcGIS. Kristi was recently tasked with re-drawing all of the police beats & crew routes in ArcGIS because the boundaries changed. Kristi will show how to create your own shapefiles in ArcGIS which can be helpful if you would like to be able to extract crash, call, or crime data in a specific area.
